I knew I wanted to call Noah, Noah (lol) right from the start so I didn't really have the fun of looking through baby name books! For that reason, I decided to tag myself in the Baby Name Challenge that is quite popular on Youtube. I hope if you're pregnant this gives you some ideas of names; and if you're not then add them to that list of baby names you love that everyone has!
What are your favourite boy & girl names from the top UK baby name list (2017)?
My favourite girl name on this list is Ava. It's what I would have called Noah if he was a girl! My favourite boy name, aside from Noah, is Oscar.
What are your least favourite names from this list?
No offence to anybody here! My least favourite girls name on this list is Felicity. My least favourite boy name is Parker.
If you had twins what would you name them? (GG, BB, B/G)
This is really difficult for me! Girl twins I think I would name them Emilia and Matilda so that they have the same sound at the end! I love the name Matilda. Boy twins I think Finley and Jamie - again I like the idea of them almost matching. Boy/Girl twins are where I struggle. I think I'd pair the names together so maybe Matilda and Finley!
If you could change your name to anything what would it be?
I'm not sure that I would change my name! I quite like Sophie as it's not too common but it's not too different either! I do like my middle name which is Victoria so maybe I'd swap them around? Majorly boring I know.
You have 4 children, any gender, their first names all have to start with the same letter. What would their names be?
I'll do two boys and two girls just to make this easier for me! Aaron, Ayden, Alice and Amelia are my favourite names. I love the idea of having all of my children having names beginning with the same letter.
What's your favourite animal inspired name?
I'm not sure if it counts but my favourite name for a boy is Leo. It sort of means lion!? If this doesn't count then definitely Wren. Apparently Jemima means 'little dove' in Hebrew so that's my vote for an animal inspired girl name.
What's your favourite colour inspired name?
For a boy I like the name Auburn. There aren't many colour inspired names for boys (that I could think of anyway.) For a girl I love Ebony!
What are your top 3 favourite boy names?
My top 3 names, aside from Noah, are Jude, Mason and Archie.
What are your top 3 favourite girl names?
My top 3 names are Penelope (my absolute favourite name!), Martha and Elena.
What is your favourite celebrity baby name?
I like Harper (the Beckham's) and Bodhi (Ian Somerholder). I also love India (Binky Felstead) and River (Jamie and Jools Oliver). I can't choose an ultimate favourite!
What is your ultimate guilty pleasure name?
I love both Ezra and Aria - but they're my guilty pleasure names because of the connotations to Pretty Little Liars! I also love Disney inspired names, like Nala or Aurora.
What are your most hated baby names?
I personally don't like names that sound like a baby is a middle aged man, like Simon or Steve! I also don't like names that aren't names but people try to make them such; I'm talking about you, Kardashian's...
Choose a baby name inspired by food/drink?
I LOVE the name Saffron. I also like Olive, Rosemary (but would shorten it to Rosie on a day to day basis), Jasmine and Sage.
Choose a baby name based on a month?
If Autumn counts then Autumn! If not I quite like August, but I wouldn't personally use it.
Choose a baby name from a movie?
I'm going to cheat a bit here and go for TV Shows! I like Rafael (Jane the Virgin) and Claudia (as in Claudia Winkleman..)
Choose a name that is already in your family?
My cousin is called Heather and I like that name! My nan's middle name was 'Joyce' which I would use for a girl's middle name! My granddad was called Arthur which is a name that is coming into fashion a lot more nowadays and at first I didn't like it but it's growing on me!
What are your favourite boy / girl names? Thanks for reading!
